Administrative Volunteer

We are looking for a friendly, organised and reliable Volunteer Administrator to join our small team and help support the day-to-day running ofour charity.  Previous administrative experience would be helpful, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are equally important.

Echoes Charity is an online mental health charity providing accessible mental health support through online workshops, support groups and wellbeing resources.

As a Volunteer Administrator, you will provide general administrative support to help our services run smoothly. The role is fully remote and home-based, with flexibility around when you volunteer.

Tasks may include:

  • Responding to general emails and enquiries
  • Helping to manage bookings and registrations for online workshops     and support groups
  • Updating spreadsheets, records and databases
  • General data entry and administrative tasks
  • Organising documents and online files
  • Supporting communications with workshop attendees, volunteers and     members of the team
  • Helping to ensure records are accurate and kept up to date
  • Assisting with other administrative tasks as required

We are looking for someone who is dependable, organised and who shares our commitment to helping others.

Ideally, you will:

  • Be friendly, approachable and professional
  • Have good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Be reliable and able to work independently
  • Be comfortable using email and basic computer applications
  • Have good written communication skills
  • Be willing to learn and ask for guidance when needed
  • Be able to communicate sensitively and respectfully with a range of people
  • Support our commitment to making mental health support accessible and inclusive

We understand that volunteers have other commitments, so we aim to be flexible.

We are looking for someone who can ideally offer a few hours each week, with the exact hours and days agreed according to the volunteer's availability and the needs of the charity. We would ideally like someone who can volunteer with us on a reasonably regular basis, as consistency helps us provide the best possible support to our team and the people who access our services.

The role is fully remote and home-based, so there is no requirement to travel to an office. Working together with other volunteers or the management team over Zoom can also be arranged if preferred.

By volunteering with Echoes Charity, you will have the opportunity to use your skills to support a cause that makes a meaningful difference to people's lives.

We can offer:

  • A flexible role that can be carried out entirely from home
  • The opportunity to gain experience within a mental health charity
  • Experience that can strengthen your CV and support future employment or volunteering opportunities
  • The opportunity to develop your administrative, communication and organisational skills
  • Support and guidance from our team
  • The chance to become part of a friendly and supportive charity
  • The satisfaction of knowing your time is helping us provide accessible mental health support to others

Your administrative support will help free up our psychotherapists, counsellors and the wider team to focus more of their time on supporting the people who use our services.
