After completing a BA Hons. Degree in French at LondonUniversity, Rayna went on to do her Postgraduate Certificate of Education atthe IOE, London. She taught in leading London schools for over 25 years beforeretraining as a Counsellor. She was the first trained counsellor in the schoolin which she taught and established three new counselling services forSignpost, a young people’s counselling charity, where she volunteered and forwhich she later became Chair of Trustees.

In 2000, Rayna finally left teaching to focus on her privatepractice and on the Emotional Literacy company, which she co-founded withElissa Vale. She continued her studies and became both a UKCP registered Adult& a UKCP registered Child Psychotherapist. Rayna is also a UKCP registeredclinical supervisor, trainer, tutor and former examiner.

After leaving the two Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) schools,in which she worked as lead counsellor for several years, Rayna now supervisesmany of the GDST’s Safeguarding and Pastoral Leads, as well as co-ordinatingthe counsellors across the Trust. She also continues to work with children,adolescents, adults, couples and families of all ages, backgrounds and issues,at her private practice in Chalfont St. Peter, Buckinghamshire.

Rayna is excited to help Echoes Charity achieve their aim of providing mental health support to everyone who needs it,especially to those who would not be able to access it otherwise.
